Converter- a manufacturer of converted forms of paper, film, foils, or combinations thereof, for sale to the users or distributors of such materials for packaging purposes.

Associate- a manufacturer of materials, equipment or supplies used in the manufacture of flexible packaging.

Converter/Associate- a company that meets the definition of both Converter and Associate.

International- a converter headquartered outside the U.S. with no direct or indirect flexible packaging sales in the U.S.

Trade Press- a recognized trade magazine related to the flexible packaging industry.

Annual Dues     

Converter and Associate Dues
Are $0.35 per $1,000 of U.S. annual sales (sales volume x $0.00035), with a minimum dues of $3,500 for companies with U.S. sales under $10,000,000 and a maximum dues cap of $40,000 for sales over $114,000,000.

International Dues
Are a flat rate of $3,500 for companies with no direct or indirect flexible packaging sales in the U.S.

Trade Press Dues
Are a flat rate of $1,500.

Provides industry-specific information that enables members to make educated business decisions based on quantifiable industry data.

State of the Industry Report
This annual FPA report is considered the definitive source of information for anyone involved in converting, supplying, purchasing, tracking, reporting on or investing in the flexible packaging industry.

FPA's Earnings Report and Operating Ratio Report reveal detailed financial trends and assist converters in benchmarking their competitiveness, profitability and productivity.

FPA's Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council
Establishes voluntary standardized testing methods for the flexible packaging industry.

Safety Program

FPA members share safety best practices in order to minimize the severity and frequency of employee injuries within FPA member companies. Additionally, FPA publishes the annual Injury Incidence Rate Report.

Protection & Representation

FPA represents the flexible packaging industry before all government and regulatory agencies including the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA).

The U.S. Census Bureau

FPA is seeking to improve the seven NAICS Code definitions to better reflect the flexible packaging industry.

Environmental & Regulatory Affairs Program

FPA is working with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on approximately 25 issues of concern to the industry. EPA has stated that FPA's work with the agency has led to the development of regulations that are less costly to the industry and provide additional environmental protection. FPA hosts its annual Environmental Summit to provide and opportunity for industry and EPA officials to come together to ensure mutual understanding.

Meetings & Conferences Annual Meeting

FPA's Annual Meeting allows members to legally network with colleagues and suppliers in a professional venue where experts deliver presentations on the various business aspects of the flexible packaging industry.

Fall Executive Conference
FPA delivers relevant and timely information that members can use to create efficiencies and fuel growth within their firms.

Additional Conferences and Seminars
